Exploring Off-the-Beaten-Path Gems: A Journey through Greece, Cyprus, and Beyond

With a small group of fellow Travel Advisors, I recently embarked on a remarkable adventure through off-the-beaten-path destinations in Greece and Cyprus. From the tranquil beauty of Halkidiki's Ekies Resort to the luxurious paradise of Limassol's Parklane Cyprus and the chic allure of Porto Heli's Nikki Beach, each stop on this journey offered unique experiences and unforgettable memories. Join me as I share the highlights of this extraordinary trip.

Destination 1: Ekies Resort, Halkidiki, Greece

Our first stop was Thessaloniki, where we flew into before making our way to the breathtaking Ekies Resort in Halkidiki. This barefoot luxury sanctuary, nestled among a pine tree forest, instantly captured our hearts. With its pristine blue flag beaches, over 2,000 herbs growing wild in the area, and renowned cuisine by James Beard award-winning chef Dimitris Pamporis, Ekies Resort is a haven of natural beauty and gastronomic delights. The resort's architectural design and the warm hospitality of the management team create a sophisticated and classy atmosphere. We immersed ourselves in morning yoga sessions, boat rides to the blue lagoon, relaxing on the beach, cocktail tastings, and indulging in incredible dinners. Exploring the gastronomy city of Thessaloniki was the perfect finale before heading to our next destination.

Destination 2: Parklane Cyprus, Limassol, Cyprus

Next, we jetted off to Limassol, Cyprus, a hidden gem that surprised and delighted us. Our home away from home was the magnificent Parklane Cyprus, an oasis of luxury. From the warm welcome at the airport to the well-appointed rooms with stunning sea views, this resort surpassed our expectations. International brand restaurants catered to our every culinary desire, while the choice of accommodations ensured that every traveler would find their perfect retreat. Families will be thrilled with the exceptional kids club, a true standout. Limassol, just 15 minutes away, enticed us with its shopping, delightful taverns, and world-renowned chef-owned establishments. Exploring the town, relaxing on a boat, or visiting historical sites like Kourion add to the allure of this remarkable destination.

Destination 3: Nikki Beach Porto Heli, Peloponnese, Greece

Our final stop transported us to the mesmerizing Nikki Beach Porto Heli in the Peloponnese. After a scenic drive from Athens, punctuated by stops at the Corinth Canal and Epidavros, we were enthralled by the oldest, most well-preserved theater in the world. Nikki Beach Porto Heli, a boutique hotel on the beach, captivated us with its rooms, suites, and exceptional restaurants. Overlooking Porto Heli, our rooftop dinner set the stage for a memorable stay. We ventured to Ermionis, a family-owned honey farm, for a unique and immersive experience. After exploring Porto Heli and indulging in a delightful lunch, we hopped on a water taxi to Spetses, an island reminiscent of St. Tropez. Luxury boutiques blended seamlessly with Greek authenticity, providing a perfect ending to our journey.

As a Travel Advisor, I am privileged to discover hidden treasures and share them with fellow travelers. This trip through Greece and Cyprus showcased the magic of off-the-beaten-path destinations. From the raw luxury of Ekies Resort to the refined elegance of Parklane Cyprus and the chic beachfront bliss of Nikki Beach Porto Heli, each hotel offered an exceptional experience.
